Just read:
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

I was first intrigued by the character of Dorian Gray because of the film - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I liked the film so much that it became the topic of one of my English class projects. I digress. After watching, I impulsively decided to buy the book (The Picture of Dorian Gray) when I saw it on a shelf in Natio. And on my bookshelf it sat for about 5 years.

Much like the painting, my book looks older than when I first bought it! I finally finished reading it today. Passing the first part proved to be a real challenge. I even found myself skipping a lot of parts in the middle. Too many words, too little action - I guess that's a good way of describing books I DON'T like. Articles are okay for discussing ideas but to read about a philosophizing character in the middle of an increasingly interesting story isn't my cup of tea. (This blog entry sounds so... English...)

As you may have noticed, I'm experimenting with the Amazon Associates program.
