At Boppard right now (Germany), just got off a Rhine River cruise. Am immensely enjoying the tour and although I'm still here, can't wait to return again! Missing you all :)

Oh wow. I dunno what it is with this year but I'm very thankful. It's been one cool experience after another. You know how they say, "you're so low, you can't go anywhere else but up?" Maybe that's what happened so I'm dreading the next turn of the tide. For now though, I'll soak up the warmth of blessedness.

After receiving a call from Company X because they got my resume from Ateneo and Jobstreet (I submitted my resume last year!), I decide to just go and have that preliminary interview (besides, I love their products). It goes well but I do feel a little bit guilty. A few days afterwards, I get a call from the office telling me that I'm needed sooner than they thought - and that I'll be working in Makati (instead of at Cabuyao). Aims might even work at the same building! Although I was almost resigned to working in Laguna, I was still praying... And there you go, prayer answered :) Goodbye Company X, sorry for the inconvenience. I look forward to saving the world soon. Too bad there's no comic book I can follow.

Aside from rushing to complete the pre-employment requirements before I leave, I went to an angels4lyf dinner last night. The main topic was their recent trip to Boracay. It reminded me of the summer camp days - we talked about it for weeks after the trip, recounting every detail, everything that was said and done. Uh oh, trip to memory lane, again. Let's stop now.

Here's some nice lyrics... It's from the soundtrack of a movie my mom and I just watched, "Flicka."

"My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw

Chorus:
Your beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Verse 1:
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.
Gonna tell you how much I love you,
though you think you already know.
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

Verse 2:
When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You!" in the moonlight at your door.
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".

Verse 3:
Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
that makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man.
I know he'll say that he's in love.
But between you and me. He won't be good enough!

I've been watching a lot of stuff lately, especially since I've been keeping my 4-year old cousin company while her family's out of town. Dekada 70 was such a big disappointment even if I cried a bit. I'm not wondering why it didn't work. Also caught the Amazing Race All Stars marathon. Can't wait for the final episode. I'm rooting for the Beauty Queens! I don't want Chmirna to win simply because Charla annoys me. I re-watched Devil Wears Prada too. I want the unpublished HP! The QT's predict I'll become a Miranda Priestly in the future. Who knows, maybe I'll chuck my cellphone in a fountain too.

Like the blog's new look? I'm still not totally sold. Stay tuned.

Last night was another big movie outing for Celadon (+ family & friends) but it wasn't able to break the record. 22 of us watched Spiderman 3 at Rockwell (occupied 2 and 3/4 center rows), 9 people short of the 31 who watched Narnia last year. Nevertheless, thanks Vani for organizing the gimik, Jic for reserving the tickets, & Mic for the ride home :) More interesting movies are coming up so there are still many opportunities. Some of these are Pirates of the Carribean 3, the sequel of Fantastic 4 and Shrek 3! Notice that a lot of movies coming out are sequels. Transformers will be out in the US on July 4. Does that mean it'll be out by June 12 here? I'm just being cheeky.

Dinner was at the restaurant of choice for most (kids): McDonalds. That was for half the group. The others opted for Kenny Rogers. And the three who decided to have dinner at a later time almost didn't eat because the stores were closing by the time they felt hungry (everything was closing earlier since it was Labor Day). It was Jollibee for them!

I'm planning to have a haircut in the next few days... either at Razzle Dazzle or Tinette. I think I prefer Tinette's more conventional cuts but the former is known for its "Hong Kong hairstyle" specialty - simply because Sir Louis is from HK. The hair I have now, minus the color c/o Birdie, is a Razzle Dazzle product. Anyway, I'm not after any particular style, I just don't want to have a hard time with my hair during my upcoming trip. Hmmm. As for color, I really would like to have it a little bit more red (not Ferrari red!) but mom wants it darker (back to original). I'm fond of the light color now though - even if it makes me look pale? My cousin requested that I keep it the same color for her wedding in June so that might be the deciding factor. Shoe shopping for that stint will have to take place before the 8th.

Speaking of which, I can't wait for my relatives to arrive! I miss Lotta most but seeing 4-ko, 2-ko, Uncle Ben (like Spiderman!), Achi Liana, Christian, Ahya Joe, Achi Mitch and Alex is always a treat. The rest won't be coming :( One's studying in Spain right now - if only we could visit! :)

My VL re-organization plan is almost complete, I guess. I received 130 replies (thank you!) but I've only added 36 people... because I'm still trying to figure out what categories to use! I don't want too many categories, but I don't want too many people in one category either. My problem actually are the ICAns who are Ateneans who are Celadoneans (they belong to too many categories) and the IRCer who is Xaverian who isn't Atenean. Blimey. So for those who haven't received the notification requesting permission for me to add you to my list, I probably still haven't added you. hehe. I'll figure it out, eventually.

My digital photos are more organized too so I've been adding the "naligaw" photos to their respective albums. I've been lazy to do backup via an external hard drive (cause I don't have one yet) so I've been using Multiply. I'll get around to it soon... Sheesh all this procrastinating is really bad. I need to muster up enough discipline to actually accomplish something worthwhile. Remember the sinking feeling I mentioned back in 2004? Probably not but it's there again. So many younger people have accomplished so much more than I have.

Summer news... she can now climb down the stairs on her own and climb up from the second to the topmost step. She's due for 2 more vaccination shots before she can venture outside.
