I'm going to my high school to pick up some surveys and my friend's yearbook. Afterwards, I'm going to the university to pick two friends up. Then I'm going to the FormSem. I'll have lunch there and stay till 4. What follows next is dinner with the family in celebration of my mom's birthday. At least I have a plan for the day. Sometimes doing many things takes my mind off other matters I don't really want to think about. I guess this is what people mean when they advise you to channel negative stuff into something constructive. Is this why I'm involved in so many extra-curricular activities? Or am I just bored and rationalizing my stress? I have to set my priorities straight.. again. I managed to go through high school with them.. but things change, people change.. and maybe my priorities need to change too.

I don't know when... I don't know how...
But I know something's starting right now
Watch and you'll see, someday I'll be
Part of your world

That reprise has been stuck in my head lately, even in my dreams LOL Am eating noodles right now. I'm really fond of noodles. Ssslurrppp. Takaw ko talaga :(

My random number's 325. Not bad considering my first one was 588 (first sem of first year)! My second one was 310 so not a big change. Reg during second sem was a lot better so I hope it's just as good this time around.

There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness.

All human wisdom is summed up in two words? - `Wait and hope.'

Things to do in an Elevator

1) When there's only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder and then pretend it wasn't you.
2) Push the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.
3) Ask if you can push the button for other people, but push the wrong ones.
4) Call the Psychic Hotline from your cell phone and ask if they know what floor you're on.
5) Hold the doors open and say you're waiting for your friend. After awhile, let the doors close and say, "Hi Greg. How's your day been?"
6) Drop a pen and wait until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream, "That's mine!"
7) Bring a camera and take pictures of everyone in the elevator.
8) Move your desk in to the elevator and whenever someone gets on, ask if they have an appointment.
9) Lay down a Twister mat and ask people if they'd like to play.
10) Leave a box in the corner, and when someone gets on ask them if they hear something ticking.
11) Pretend you are a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the passengers.
12) Ask, "Did you feel that?"
13) Stand really close to someone, sniffing them occasionally.
14) When the doors close, announce to the others, "It's okay. Don't panic, they open up again."
15) Swat at flies that don't exist.
16) Tell people that you can see their aura.
17) Call out, "group hug!", then enforce it.
18) Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering, "Shut up, all of you, just shut up!"
19) Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside ask "Got enough air in there?"
20) Stand silently and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.
21) Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce in horror, "You're one of THEM!" and back away slowly.
22) Wear a puppet on your hand and use it to talk to the other passengers.
23) Listen to the elevator walls with your stethoscope.
24) Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.
25) Stare, grinning at another passenger for a while, and then announce, "I have new socks on."
26) Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers, "This is my personal space!"

I got this in an email, forgot from whom. Vix ba? haha Crazy.. but that's what some people call me hehehe

Blustery Day

You know how Piglet is so small and cute that the wind blew him around on that blustery day? haha I'm a lot bigger and a lot less cute but I know what it feels like to be blown around - well maybe more like Christopher Robin or Winnie the Pooh and less like Piglet - but blown around just the same. It was hard trying to walk against the wind earlier today. At least I was in the car when it started to rain. Imagine! If it rained any earlier I would've been drenched more than that day in EK haha I had to pick a friend up before going to school, fix some documents for CD yearbook, have a meeting for ADS, eat lunch with Celadon people, have an HR meeting, pick my cousin up.. weh.. I had a pretty productive day, didn't I? haha *proud of self* good productive blustery day :)

Sentimental Reasons

I was thinking about changing my cell phone unit because it isn't working smoothly anymore. Mom told me to try hers first while she used mine in the meantime. I lasted 30 seconds before deciding to switch back haha I've been with my phone since the old one drowned (it was in my pocket when I got pushed/thrown into a pool) at the start of third year HS. It's been with me through so much! I suppose I get attached too much. I try to avoid it but it can't be helped - c'est la vie... I remember my dad had to force me to give my old computer to my brother. He tried to reason but he ended up buying the laptop I'm using now and just switching it without consulting me. I sulked of course :D hehehe So now, I dunno if I can just shrug my sentimentality away. Doubtful LOL

So anyway.. (continued) Rio Grande was fun :) My friends and I were the first ones to ride when it opened at 4. I think I rode it 3 times? or 4? Getting wetter everytime :D That was the highlight of our trip I think LOL

The guys decided to do some extreme paintball. Mike was the sharpest of course. We headed to the arcade afterwards. Mic and Mike played house of the dead then Ollie and Vix played Dance Rev. We got Ollie to sing afterwards hihi He scored highest (89), singing "A Whole New World." Then Mic sang "Can't Smile Without You", followed by Mike's "Iris" then I sang "Part of Your World." Natalie bought a glowing heart necklace.

We got home quick enough. Everyone tired but happy (I think) haha Katherine said she wanted to go back the day after (meaning today). Mom said we can go back before school starts haha Gastos! 400 (entrance) + 4D (40) + 160 (go kart) + 37 (jolli hotdog) + 25 (drink) = no money hahaha

Had a really wonderful (but tiring) day :) I spent the morning watching Swan Lake (Barbie version) and playing with Carrie. Ate lunch there too (Nat started eating 20 minutes earlier but I finished first o_O) Of course I spent the morning (and the day before) really hoping it wouldn't rain so our trip to EK wouldn't be cancelled. It pushed through even though it was raining LOL. Two cars, total 12 people I think. We rode the bump cars, the roller skates, ferris wheel, rialto, 4D theater, rio grande, go karts, and rio grande some more. hahah tired na, will write some more tomorrow :)

PS. Last night was tiring too haha I was dodging kicks from my sleeping cousin (grabe, 360 degrees and she subconsiously prefers sleeping ON me) -_-

I just won a Popeye balloon from a children's party. Shame on me haha I wasn't thinking actually, the thought just popped in my head that the clown was making Popeye, so his name kinda popped out of my mouth and I won haha I got the biggest balloon in the entire party o_O No cotton candy, much to my dismay LOL Do you like the new look of my little bloggy? :) I'm actually feeling very sleepy already. It sure is HOT. Watched Troy (twice already) and I think it was well-made. I wasn't expecting it to be anything to tell you the truth. I just liked the trailer and was interested in the story simply because it's a classic. I guess my low expectations stopped it from becoming a disappointment. :) That's the best kind of surprise I think :) When you aren't expecting something and it just pops out from nowhere :) I think I'll sleep now :) Good night :)

oooh new blogger. do i like it better? dunno haha i've been babysitting my two cousins. one is six, the other is one year and three months. tiring! LOL the older one loves to play ball.. and barbie.. and is especially addicted to the TV. the younger one.. well she loves the telephone haha and she's fond of her picture book - the one with the teddy bears, dogs, and her fave, cats. last night, the six-year old and i agreed that 7am is the "right" time to wake up. She woke me up and the clock showed 7am - because she changed the time! weh. So i got up at 6:30 because of a technicality haha well time to eat lunch LOL more anecdotes next time, if i survive :D

Ugh there's a stupid campaign attempt going on for FPJ - near enough to my house that i can actually understand the words. Some people should be thrown in jail for disturbing the peace - maybe even sentenced to die. They murdered the YMCA song and replaced the letters with the words "Vote FPJ." Yacccckkk. Ingay ingay ingay. I so hope FPJ doesn't win in the upcoming elections. Even the Filipino people are smart enough (hopefully) to see how stupid he is. His commercials on TV are stupidddd (i like FPJ because he's not madaldal?! What kind of reason is that??) Whatever sister. Don't know why they even made that commercial. Don't know if Ping has a chance of winning. I think the Chinese community is supporting him. Well anyway, yan lang muna :)

Had lunch with mom and she was sharing with me all sorts of stories. It's scary to live in a different household.. with the in-laws to deal with (er, take care of). Even dad agrees that the Filipino way is more practical - having the daughter stay with the parents and making the son-in-law move in. Mother and daughter will get along more than mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The guy will be out of the house for most of the day working anyway. That's the reasoning but I think he sorta figured that I'd take care of them both better than my brother hahaha He loves dropping hints that he'll insist I live with them when (if) I get married. Then again, Chinese tradition is still being followed by my family (both sides). It's just today that my mom actually told me about some of her frustrations. Still, I'm sure it wasn't as bad as what my grandmother had to put up with (my grandfather's mom is a legendary bitch - sorry taima but it's true). I don't really want to think about this. It's still far off, I guess. My mom got married at 23 - twinkies, I'll be 23 in 5 years. High school was four years and it went by reallllyyyy quickly. hrmm... who knows.
